ELECTRONIC SPORTS LEAGUE BANS THE SAME DRUGS AS THE OLYMPICS

As the popularity grows and the prize pools become bigger ESL (Electronic Sports League) has taken the steps to adopted the World Anti-Doping Agency’s list of banned substances for its players. ┬áThe ESL had announced that it has banned enhancing drugs from competition after a team revealed one of its members used Adderall prior to a match to help enhance their ability to focus.

The league will randomly test players and the penalties will range from fines to a maximum 2-year ban from the league. Exceptions will be made if players have a valid prescription.
